Summary
What does this car say about you?
Probably points at green aspirations when economics are closer to the truth. I have always been keen on driving and 'srivers cars' so this is a change of direction for me.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everyone seems pleasantly surprised.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes because ownership reasons remain valid today.
What are you likely to buy next?
Depends whether I am still using a car in London.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,600
When did you buy the car?
March 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Knew what I was wanted and bought online - Carcraft web price was nearly £1k below their windscreen price so worth printing out and taking along - Their part exchange was a few hundred below my valuation but on balance seemed a good deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Sometimes drive in central London and wanted to avoid congestion charge
What was the dealer like?
Acted ignorant of web price until I pointed it out and produced my printouts then was fine.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very smooth and quiet. Sporty light feel to car. Picks up well with electric boost. Slightly strange at first the way it switches engine off at traffic lights etc. then back on when you select gear but you soon get used to it.
What's it like to park?
Good. Back easy to spot but front protrudes slightly more than apparent.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
New under-bonnet battery needed - slightly ironic when IMA battery bank has 8 years guarantee.
What's most practical about your car?
Superb economy. Pay £10 registration then forget congestion charge. £35 annual tax. Avoids 'quirky' looks like Toyota rival and smells of gas convertions.
