Honda's k20a2 engine and gear box are second to none.. If oil & fluid change every 10k along with spark plug's swapped out you won't have any problems.. I use oem Honda parts and I service my type r every 5k miles... Only one thing I will say bad about the k20 engine is where the oil filter is located is a bit of a pain if you don't have a car lift... I service my Honda with 5w30 Mobil 1 oil and a Honda oem filter... I use Honda oem mtf gear box oil... If you want hassle free hot hatch performance buy the ep3 type r for full Honda reliability!!!
