Honda Civic Type-R (2007 - 2010) 2.0 i-VTEC Type R GT (Sat Nav + HFT) 3d Owner Review

Having owned the car 7 months, the best word to describe this car is 'fun'. The engine has a lovely note, and even without any exhaust mods it sounds like touring car in v-tec. It can seem a bit slow and has a noticeable lack of torque if your coming from a turbocharged hot hatchback. But if you have a clear road and start of in the right RPM, this car comes alive and there is no car in the same price bracket and age that is as fun to drive. The internals (especially the dash and seats) have really grown on me. The only downside of this car is the ride can feel a bit crashy, and there is some rattles in the cabin which I see other have complained about. The fuel usage just depends on how eager you drive, if you want to enjoy the car every commute, be prepared for mid-20s MPG (and a good amount of engine oil usage!). If you use it for commuting like I do, with a mixture of slow traffic and Dual carriageways you can achieve 35MPG.
