What does this car say about you?

I'm a young bloke who wants something easy to drive and live with but still want something to have fun with on the weekends.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Family like it as its practical and huge inside. Freinds love the engine and the space in the back. Girlfriend likes it because of the seats. Neighbours like it, its not too loud or shoutly but I'm guessing their all a little bit jealous.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes i would. I love my Type R, simple. I test drove the other rival cars and while every car has got its own pros and cons the type R just feels special.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have no idea. I keep my cars for a while. I did kept my fiesta for 6 years and will do the same with the Type R. This was why I wanted something a little bit special. But at the moment I would mostly likely go for something japanese and sporty again maybe even another Honda.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Great deal, haven't seen one since. Car had only done 18,000 miles, in great condition inside and out. Full service dealer history. 1 year warranty on the car, free full year road tax, car mats, full tank, and a special protective coating was placed inside and outside of the car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I was bored of driving my 1.25 fiesta (had this car for 6 years) I and wanted something with a bit more power but still practical. I test drove the main rivals (ford, vw,.and renault) but none of them gave the same edge of performance, equipment and practical that the Type R had.

What was the dealer like?

Very freindly, likable and got along well, which made it a bit easier to squeeze out them extra deals on the car. Followed up with a phone call a few days after purchasing the car to make sure I was happy with everything. Nice touch.

What's it like to drive?

Brilliant, you always feel in control for the car. Steering feels like its on rails, really responsive. Engine is just perfect, fun to drive but not too bad on fuel if you drive with your sensible hat on. The one downside of the car is how stiff the suspension, as the driver you feel bumps but it never feels too bad and didn't understand what the fuss was all about, but this was before I place my girlfriend along side me and it wasn't until then i realised how stiff the car really is, in the corner of my eye all I could see was her just bouncing all over the place and we were only doing 20-30mph in a built up area on some fairly average roads. But if you do manage to get the car on a flat piece of road the car is just so lovely you forget all about that.

What's it like to park?

Its quite a big bulky car, with loads of blind spots, you can't quite tell where the car starts and ends, you're also either have 18inch alloys or 19inch rage wheels so you're always thinking about them as you're parking and if thats not enough of a challenge, you can't see anything out the back as someone decided that knowing whats behind you is overrated so stuck a spoiler on to the back of the window instead. That being the side mirrors are massive which make it easy to move the car around just don't rush.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing what so ever.

What's most practical about your car?

Having that extra power for overtaking, nice having a 6th gear for just cruising down the motor and getting that extra mpg. And the size of the car inside, its massive for a hatchback, boot is massive, passagers have pently of room in the back and then there's the glove box, I almost bought the car just because of this feature alone, its massive! It goes so far back I thought I was about to find Narina in there.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

GT pack is definitely worth waiting for on one of these cars. Cruise Control is easy and simple but lovely if you haven't had it before, Dual climate control so you can set your own temp and the person riding shotgun theirs. And then there's the Vtec zone, cruising around town the car is quiet, blends in nicely and then there's the other side of the car which is just mad, the thing shots off like a rocket and noise is just amazing.
