Honda CR-V 2.0 i-VTEC Sport 5d (2004/54) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Well equiped and well built. 2005 model adds a number of extras e.g. more airbags.
Costs
Fuel economy not bad, service costs won't be cheap, but dealer (in my previous experience) at least do a decent job.

On the road
Driving
Encourages a relaxed, rather than sporty, style.
Performance
Not brilliant, but then it's not the kind of car that you'd want to pitch against the boy racers.

Living with it
Reliability
My previous Honda was faultless over 5 years/50,000 + miles. This was a big consideration in buying another Honda.
Image
Bit bland. As a bloke, I must also confess to being mildly alarmed at the fact that most CRV drivers (where I live) seem to be the stereotypical blond 4X4 mum on a school run.
Comfort
Bags of room. In particular, my kids really appreciate the rear legroom.

Security and Service
Security
No problems so far, but would rather have a truly integrated stereo (as with the likes of Ford/ Vauxhall).
Service
Both Honda and my local dealer have been excellent.
