Summary
What does this car say about you?
Says I'm middle-aged, slowish and sensible, but only the first part is true.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it, and it doesn't look gimmicky like so many Japanese vehicles (probably because it was designed and built in Swindon). It looks big and impressive until you park it next to a Range Rover, when you see normally-sized it actually is. My wife loves driving it even more than I do, which is good.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but only a diesel model. And it's ultra-reliable.
What are you likely to buy next?
Same again (in diesel) if the prices stay as competitive. And the spare wheel is not stuck on the back on the new models, which is more sensible.

Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
April 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Cheap contract hire deal, probably because it was a run-out model.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Low contract hire price for the size, and I liked my first one.
What was the dealer like?
Very good broker.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Better road performance than most 4x4s and handles well for the type. It's surprisingly nippy about town and cruises as fast as you like on open roads, but there is a fair bit of road noise. And 24-27 mpg for this petrol model is not impressive.
What's it like to park?
Visibility poor forward and bad rearward. Needs radar.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Arm rests and handbrake position.
