Summary
What does this car say about you?
I don't know - "image" wasn't a factor in buying the car. I wanted a mid-size 4x4 and lease costs on the Honda were cheaper then a Freelander, Sante-Fe or Tiguan.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Like it, largely due to the interior room. Kids love the space in the back. I know two people with the VW Tiguan, and they are impressed by how much more room you have in the Honda.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's the only car I've had that I struggle to find anything I dislike about. I'm likely to stick to this class of car while I have kids to ferry around.
What are you likely to buy next?
Likely the next gen CR-V as I won't be changing until 10/2012

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good. Seats are large and comfortable. Mirrors are large, so reversing is easy. Engine is torquey. 4WD was good in the snow last year. I have taken it off road (on a farm) and it does fine. Just remember the limits of the system and you'll do ok. Fuel economy is 36-37mpg.
What's it like to park?
Easy. Good visibility for the size and parking sensors all round. I only use mirrors to reverse, so rear 3/4 visibility mentioned by others isn't an issue.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing (owned for 11 months and 13.5k miles)
What's most practical about your car?
Boot is superb, swallows all our camping gear (family of 4). You can get two BMX bikes in the boot (one seat folded) and 2 kids in the back seats at the same time.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The car I test drove for 48 hrs (EX model) had the adaptive cruise -that is superb.
