Summary
What does this car say about you?
Middle-class... someone that can afford a bit more than a french MPV...
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
All been very positive so far; a few comments about gas gussling 4x4s but when I tell them I get better economy from it and pay less tax than my old Golf they are impressed.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, my experience so far has been really positive. As someone that has previously driven German cars I'm really impressed with Honda. I guess you get what you pay for.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure; definately another 4x4 when the times comes; I can't see me going back to an estate or hatchback.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
May 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not especially but I was pleased with the trade-in value for my old VW Golf. I tried haggling pretty hard and got £500 off the asking price but Honda don't like negotiating. The product sells itself and they know it. I visited 3 dealers and all told me there was a long wait for new diesel CRVs hence demand was high for used ones.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a large family car
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly; Brayley Honda in Enfield, North London. No hard sell; nice showroom, tea, coffee etc. Arranged test drive over phone and all went smoothly. Good after care service; telephoned me one week after collecting car and again at one month to see how things were going.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant. Engine has plenty of punch for a 2 ton car. Drives smoothly, cruises well on motorway and easy around town. It is a big car but feel likes a hatchback to drive. Comfy inside for all passengers; took the in-laws out and they were impressed with the ride in the back.
What's it like to park?
Easy - parking sensors so no hassle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Double-layered boot. Great if you have kids. Buggy fits on bottom and there is still loads of space left for shopping, pets etc.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Probably the boot.
