Summary
What does this car say about you?
Value quality and reliability over pure speed.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it though some think it is too big.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. The car has never let me down, its fuel consumption is good for its size and it has lots of useful gadgets.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Honda.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£14,400
When did you buy the car?
November 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. A car of lower mileage of same age would have been out of reach.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good tow car, reasonable price even though high mileage. Had full service history.
What was the dealer like?
Helpful, not too pushy. Was keen for me to use Honda finance (which I didn't). They did a lot of minor remedial work mainly to trim and bodywork that I asked for so that the car looked very presentable when collected.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The bad bits first. Drive it hard fuel consumption rockets. Tyre noise quite intrusive (it is a 4X4). Has usual problem of first to second gear crunch if done too quickly Good bits - easy to drive, very comfortable, ideal cruiser on motorways, all controls to hand you can do a lot by talking to it! Corners well for its height. No need to change gear regularly to maintain speed.
What's it like to park?
With rear camera, parking sensors and large mirrors its fine.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No. Had a bad puncture shortly after purchase. Discovered there was no socket to undo the alloy wheel. Obviously pdi had missed this. Dealer provided one foc when told.
What's most practical about your car?
Its versatility ie carrying stuff, towing, dealing with bad weather.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
There are a few (one of the reasons I bought the car). Reversing camera very useful for hitching caravan.
