Summary
What does this car say about you?
Reliable choice - for an engineer!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family think it is a good buy. With my neighbours (driving any old stuff) ... probably that I am paying too much!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Can't find any good reason not too.
What are you likely to buy next?
I am not over-enamoured with what I learn about the newer CR-V version, but will be willing to give a high-spec model a try.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£24,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so considering I had traded in the earlier CR-V version to the same dealer. A pre-registered car just at the time when the new model was breaking through.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Reliability, particularly for taking abroad and a 4x4 preferred. Good luggage space and good towing.
What was the dealer like?
Helpful. Friendly. A bit late delivering due to some delay in asked-for add-ons.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
With the auto gearbox is fuel heavy but at the same time it is also an absolutely effortless drive. Tyre noise can intrude on granite-mix UK road materials - but perfect on the French tarmac.
What's it like to park?
No problems with front and back sensors. The "dipping" near-side mirror came as a pleasant surprise and a good idea!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all. Tyre noise can intrude on the UK road materials - but perfect for French tarmac.
What's most practical about your car?
Such an easy all-day cruiser. Good Nav System. A very good driving position and high view-out to the front.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Rear-view camera. Superb sound syatem. Panoramic roof.
