Honda CR-V (2012 - 2018) 1.6 i-DTEC EX 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
My version also has the sensing pack added with blind spot assist, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. I specifically wanted a car with all these options having previously owned a Volvo S90. The technology is good but needs some refinement. The build quality feels great and it's a very sturdy car. The engine is a bit small in my opinion for the size of vehicle. Even though it produces 160bhp and plenty of torque, it does need to be worked harder than expected in many situations. The auto gear box is good but not great. Not as good as my Volvo S90. Driving is lovely. It's a very easy car to drive with plenty of space for the family. My biggest niggle is the economy. For a diesel, it's pretty poor. I have to drive at 60mph to get around 52mpg. If I increase to 70mph, this drops dramatically to around 38-40mpg. A huge reduction for a small speed increase. In town, the economy is around the 42mpg mark so it's not too bad but I was used to getting between 50-60mpg in my Volvo. My second niggle is the in car entertainment system. It's so bad and doesn't allow third party apps. Still, it works and does what you need it to do once you've figured it all out. Overall, a good solid car that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a large SUV.
