Honda CR-V (2012 - 2018) 2.0 i-VTEC S 2WD 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I choose Honda as a brand for quality and reliability, and the CR-V because of its drivability and space over other brands in the SUV market. It was one of the few cars that could easily take 2 adult mountain bikes upright but with their front wheels removed inside the load area with the seats down. The 2 Litre VTEC engine accelerates and cruises easily in all situations and surprisingly returns great MPG. I choose the 2 wheel drive version as I don't need a 4x4 and previous experience proves that all wheel drive transmission can be a bit clunky when it get older. The seats are comfortable and the controls are easy to hand. There have been no issues with the paint or bodywork. I see no reason to change my vehicle at the moment as most SUV offerings are now the more complex Hybrid versions.
How reliable do you find the car?
The only issue has been the high-level LED brake light which failed which you wouldn't expect. Judging from the number affected on the internet forums this points to a manufacturing quality issue which Honda should have addressed within the warranty period.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Reliabilty has been great but the MPG has exceeded my expectation. Load space and the magic rear seat mechanism are brilliant. The original Continental ECO Contact tyres gave good mileage and the rears are still going at 50K.About their car
