In their own words
We have leased the last few cars we have had, the latest being the Honda CRV SE. Had liked the look of this car for some time and opted to go for it when a cancellation came up. First impressions were good, possibly due to the hybrid engine which is whisper quiet when in electric mode. It is also a comfortable car to drive with a commanding driving position and lots of room in front and back. But to be honest, it's been all down hill since then. I had expected more than the 44mpg we are getting given it is a hybrid, it sometimes feels like there is a leak in the fuel tank when on the motorway. The onboard computer is terrible, really poor touchscreen responsiveness and no ability to change much with separate controls. The driver warning messages are really frustrating and obscure the main driver screen when they come on, and there seems to be a warning light for absolutely everything. The interior quality is pretty suspect, it's barely 2 years old and already various bits of trim have frayed. Carpets are awful, impossible to clean properly and really cheap looking. You have the option to put this model into full electric mode, which if you're lucky will do 1 mile at low revs, but this sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and the light to confirm it's in that mode is obscured by the steering wheel. Anything that has to be done on the touchscreen e.g. radio is really cumbersome and takes more button clicks than should be necessary. All things considered, I'm really disappointed with my first experience with Honda and I'd not get another.
