In their own words

Pros
1 It's a comfortable place to sit and it is easy to drive.
2 Pick up from standing start is good.
3 it was available. At the time, competitor marques were like hen's teeth.

Cons
1 It is really, really noisy. The petrol engine is as rough as a badger's bum
2 Economy is poor. I saw an owner review where the owner complained about 44mpg - I'd give my eye teeth for that. I'm getting about 37mpg. My commute is 1/3 urban, 1/3 motorway and 1/3 country lanes.
3 It is not a relaxed motorway cruiser. refer to point one. It gets really tedious after a while. Overtaking is not effortless. I am pining for my old diesel, which was much smoother and less intrusive.
4 having to accept the terms of use on the digital display when you start the engine. Every. Single. Time. That gets really tedious too.
5 No spare wheel. I know that this is hardly unique nowadays but having a puncture when you really need to get somewhere on time is a proper pain. The "temporary mobility kit" is not fit for anything other than a pinprick. I don't know what car I'm going to get next but no spare is a deal breaker.
6 the towing capacity is pathetic for a rufty-tufty SUV. It wasn't a concern when I bought the thing and I didn't check. Now I actually want to tow something and I can't because my stupid car has a lower rating than a Tonka toy.
7 The automatic main beam / dip control doesn't work properly. It applies high beam inappropriately and is late to dip when someone is coming towards you. Cursing you no doubt.
Being sat behind the dazzling offenders for a change, I saw what was happening and I disabled it. This function is dangerous.
8 Fuel economy & range on the dash are in one of the selectable function displays rather a default always on. This just irritated me more and more as time went on.
9 The ICE is really clunky. My old Citroen was miles better and that was a lot older - just a bag of spanners for other reasons.
10 The carpet in the boot is not very hardwearing. Give it a good brush to clean it and all the pile comes up with the dirt.
11 The collision warning & automatic warning is annoying. I am not a boy-racer and I don't tailgate, but this system keeps warning me and occasionally slams on the brakes.
12 The TPMS is not fit for purpose. After a puncture (see point 5) I had to have a new tyre. It couldn't be repaired because I had tried to use the gunk to get me going. Anyway, I have 1 new tire and the others about 50% worn. The TPMS thinks I've got a puncture and I have to keep resetting it. Making TPMS compulsory was a egregious bit of regulation but come-on Honda make it work properly.

All these things just make me hate the car more every day. I have 6 months to go and I can't wait.
The new CRV might be a lot better, but I am not taking the chance. This is my first and last Honda.
