Summary
What does this car say about you?
Its obviously a family car, but its one that lets us carry canoes, bikes, tow trailers and carry a big pile of luggage inside. For me its a true recreation vehicle - it says I use the car as a tool. Its not the car I would choose to commute in or show off in.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Not much - many respect the fact that its a Honda but you can get a much more of an impressing car for £20,000!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would consider it (if it was still made. It is a clever mix of huge space with compact size.
What are you likely to buy next?
A practical estate/small 4x4.

February 2008

I was happy with the deal. I know I could buy cheaper but I place value on the service Honda offer.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Three ISOFIX child seats; compact overall size.
What was the dealer like?
Straightforward and helpful. Reasonable value for standard servicing and repairs.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Its not sporty although it can shift when empty. Its a relaxing car to drive long distances. Its small size makes it easier than some to park in driveways and carparks.
What's it like to park?
Its easy to park because of the rear sensors, compact length and "wheel at each corner". Also you sit high up giving a good view.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. The aircon failed with a corrosion leak on the front heat exchanger (£600). The NS rear shock failed and took over a year to diagnose with all roll bar bushes replaced first.
What's most practical about your car?
Large interior space for compact overall size. The sixthe seat is either useful or provides extra boot space with 5. The short rear overhang makes it good for bike racks and towing.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The space in the front - its like a '68 Chevvy bench seat.
