Honda Insight Coupe (2000-2005) interior, tech and comfort
The driver-friendly dashboard is neatly styled and easy to use. Rear visibility is a bit of a problem in the Insight, due to thick rear pillars and the high tailgate. It makes doing three-point turns more difficult than usual (especially if you’re in a hurry). The onboard digital display provides speed, fuel consumption and mileage information clearly, but the level of adjustment in the driver’s seat is too limited to find a truly comfortable driving position.
With a high level of equipment as standard – including air con and electric front windows – the cabin is reasonably comfortable, though additional seat adjustments would have improved this further. Road noise is not an issue, but the Insight has firm suspension, which means it can crash around a lot, especially on rough terrain.
