Honda Jazz (2002 - 2008) 1.2 i-DSI S 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
My son needed a good reliable car for going up to university and getting round when he got there. It had to be cheap to insure, economical, reliable and safe (air bags etc.) It also had to be able to pack a lot of stuff in and be OK for giving other students rides in. A low mileage Jazz (56,000 after 11 years) seemed perfect. So nice to drive in town that I always steal it when he's home.
My first new car was a Honda S800 coupe in 1968 - looked like a miniature Aston Martin. Faster than the current MGB or Spifire then. Had many Hondas since, running up large mileages and always found them good. Engineering beats German cars.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Very economical on long runs - good around town. Great visibility and surprisingly "nippy" for a 1.2. Luggage/carrying space fantastic. Easy to park with power steering. Few luxury fittings (rear windows not electric) no a/c or sunroof, but immensely practical, easy to drive. Had several Hondas and all were reliable. Not a "prestige" brand in any way, but very competently engineered. Better than any Eurobox equivalent.About their car
