Summary
What does this car say about you?
Haven't a clue. That I like blue? That's for others to decide - I couldn't give two hoots.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Don't know, don't care, haven't asked them. My grown up kids have said its a good car for me, but I don't care about that either because I'm really happy with this car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Why? For all the things I've written above. This car suits me and all my needs just fine.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Honda Jazz.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think the price was very fair for the age, condition and mileage. They serviced the car, fitted a new battery for free and rear parking sensors at cost, and threw in the new MOT when it came due 3 months later. Why? Because that's the sort of people they are - play straight with them, they'll play straight with you.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It provides good sized and flexible internal space and sun-roof; and has reduced road tax. low-ish insurance and good fuel consumption. Exactly what I was looking for.
What was the dealer like?
Genuinely warm and welcoming, gave me a good deal and has fulfilled promise of new MOT when it came due, included in the price.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
In town, very agile, turns on a sixpence. Nippy when needed. Good visibility and very quiet, sometimes I wonder if I've stalled because I can't hear the engine. A bit hard over bumps, but that's the only negative and is outweighed by all the other pluses. On motorways, doesn't do lightening fast, but fast enough, does 80+ easily enough with more to give, (though it can start to get a bit noisy at that point, in comparison with normal driving), and its only a 1.4 after all. Good mpg.
What's it like to park?
Front first - its a doddle. Reverse parking with a turn - I haven't quite got the hang of it yet, don't know why - maybe because I'm used to bigger and less maneouvrable cars, so tend to over-steer.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One loose battery connection a couple of months in, got it back to dealer, immediately fixed. No other problems at all.
What's most practical about your car?
The flexibility and capacity of the storage space. Because it sits slightly higher than a lot of cars, that makes getting into and out of it much easier.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The manoeuvreability of the seating arrangement, giving lots of adaptable space and the sun-roof.
