Summary
What does this car say about you?
I neither know, nor care...
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, if it was available (it's not). I keep getting calls from Honda telling me how awful my i-Shift box is - but I love it! So... not sure - I would have to test drive the new CVT auto. Also, they no longer do the beautiful Cerulean Blue colour.
What are you likely to buy next?
That depends on what my wife decides to buy for HER next car - if it's something small I will get something larger for motorway journeys to our geographically distant family.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,000
When did you buy the car?
December 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
It was reasonable. The car was an ex-demonstrator with only 3,400 miles on the clock but they would not budge on the price, even though I was a cash buyer.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a reliable, small automatic and my wife was very pleased with her 2 previous Hondas.
What was the dealer like?
A little pushy - extras like gap insurance were pushed and I did not want them!
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Sine the software upgrade, quite exciting! I don't push it often and it's a breeze - stick it in auto, press one pedal to go, another to stop - but when you want to roll 'n' roll, use the flappy paddles!
What's it like to park?
Small size means it's dead easy - if you have problems parking this, you shouldn't be driving!
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A rear seat belt failed and was put right under "a recall" - so why did the dealer not recall it? The first I knew about the "recall" was when I took the car in to get the belt fixed under warranty. The dealer also installed an engine software upgrade (free) which has transformed the car's performance!
What's most practical about your car?
Small exterior size, huge interior size - my golf kit (including electric trolley) fits in easily.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Despite the generally bad press, I love the i-Shift box! For me, it performs much better than the BMW Selectronic system on my last company car.
