Honda Jazz (2015 - 2020) 1.3 SE 5d Owner Review

In their own words
I've owned the 65 plate Honda Jazz GK3 6MT for three months. Not a very long period of time, so I am not in the right position to comment about the reliability.
Some people might complain too much hard plastic used in the interior, but the interior is well put together, the design is very thoughtful & in my opinion good looking. I do believe the very great user experience could overcome the downside of the material.
Moreover, the cabin is very spacious, the seats are comfy, not bad for longer journeys. A bit of tyre noise on the motorway and not much wind noise, very impressive for a Honda. The magic seats are awesome, seats could all lie down, I loved it.
I knew that a lot of reviewers were complaining the entertainment system was hard to use. Personally, I didn't found it difficult to use at all as an Android phone user. The system is based on Android 4.1, which is a bit old, but I could install Google Map on the entertainment system (internet tethering used). That was way more reliable than Android Auto / Apple Carplay.
Driving wise, the steering is better than I expected. Not as sharp as the Ford Fiesta, but much much sharper than the previous models. I think that is because the GK has a stronger chassis & firmer suspension comparing to the previous model. However, I didn't find it uncomfortable over potholes & motorways, actually, the Jazz is more comfortable than the VW Up! which I owned previously.
The 1.3L engine isn't very powerful, but quite slick at around 3000 rpm. Personally, I still enjoy revving the engine to let the i-VTEC kick in like a 17-year-old boy. The 6MT is great, it has the positive location of each gear & short gear stick makes it a bit more sporty. One drawback: the engine is a bit noisy, but it is acceptable to me.
Fuel economy is alright, not the best for sure. Based on my fueling records: Low 30 ~ 35mpg in town, 52 mpg combined city & motorways & 57mpg on motorways.
In the UK, the Jazz has the reputation for reliability & sensibility, it is quite often to see older persons drives the GK to supermarket or so. However, in Asia, it has a much younger reputation. Therefore you could find a lot of accessories & aftermarket parts overseas, which I find it very useful.
In general, I would recommend GK to the others.
