Summary
What does this car say about you?
Savvy. This is a rare and well kept secret. This is a drivers exec, not like the next models that were tailored to the USA market.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it. Have never seen one before. Given the $70 price tag, that's not surprising! It's a rare car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's a great car, and parts supply is still ok. I would buy another NZ New one. There are one or two imports with cloth seats, which is wrong. The leather is very classy, comfortable and durable.
What are you likely to buy next?
Unknown presently, but this is my 7th Honda, and 1st Legend. I would definitely search out another KA7 as this model is known.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£840
When did you buy the car?
June 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought car from an Independent dealer. Car was traded at North Shore Honda, where it was sold new. It was dealer serviced by them it's entire life and has only had 2 owners from new. Has service history right up to 260,000 Kms. Car was immaculate.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Needed a second car as a 'learner' car. Cars generally are mega expensive in New Zealand (where I currently am). It was cheaper to get big car than something small.
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was excellent and honest, which is rare I know. This car would have cost $2000 - $2500 at a Honda dealer.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I have always admired this second generation model. Handling is very sporty, engine note is great when pushed!. Handling and ride is excellent now, must have been amazing in 1991. You have to hang on tight under acceleration though, and there is sometimes torque steer.
What's it like to park?
Ok to park, but very big. Same length as BMW 7 series (94-2001).

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing as yet. Just passed MOT. This is 6 monthly here.
What's most practical about your car?
Great boot. So comfortable. Memory seats are excellent. This is as quiet, if not quieter than my 96 LS 400.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
This was a $70k car here new in 1991. Has all the options and everything works. Auto Climate control is great, as is cruise control.
