The remote central locking is a reassuring feature for dark car parks, and although the Honda hasn’t been Euro NCAP safety rated, it feels sturdy enough to protect occupants in moderate collisions. Honda Legends are rarely targeted by thieves – another indication of their unfancied image – so yours should be safe enough on the driveway.

The interior is spacious, with plenty of legroom for front and rear passengers, ensuring that lengthy journeys are trouble free. The boot is enormous, accommodating a healthy load of luggage or shopping – although supermarket car parking might be a little difficult.
