Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC 4WS 2d (1992/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Good value for looks, perfomance and reliability.
Costs
Dealers expensive :-( but some very good import specialist garages. Insurance not nice for 23 year olds like me, though.

On the road
Driving
Endless revs - sounds great. Corners very well. Infact, you could almost pretend corners don't exist!
Performance
0-60 is ok, but newer cars are catchin' up. 40-100mph very good, though.

Living with it
Reliability
Owned mine for 3 months, so can't say for now. Avoid dealerships, though. E.g. £220 for cambelt change! Import specialist cost £140.
Image
Very good looks. Other cars in its class don't come close. (E.g Probe, Corrado, Celica, that Vauxhall thing, MR2).
Comfort
Nice and comfy in the front. Bit of a space shortage in the back. Boot is resonable considering, though.

Security and Service
Security
Not good. Seems something that all Hondas don't do well in. Infact, insurers won't even ensure mine without at least a 3rd party immobiliser.
Service
Honda UK have been rather useless. I asked them for replacement remote blipper, but they refused to speak to me. Gave me a dealer's number instead who still couldn't help and said to speek to Honda UK!
