Honda Prelude 2.2 VTi 2d Auto (1999/S) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Sits in the middle when compared to rivals in this price range.
Costs
Reliable and holds value well compared to some rivals. Main dealers pricey and insurance group is high.

On the road
Driving
Lots of performance, but also easy to drive slowly. Very tight turning circle useful for tight manoeuvres.
Performance
Loads of grip and great engine. Sequential shift can be jerky and ratios not well matched to engine's performance - go for the manual if possible.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems as yet.
Image
Refreshingly rare. Starting to look a little dated now but still earns respect.
Comfort
Room up front is fine, although seats not as good as in the old model. Back seats fine for most adults. Noise levels acceptable in all conditions.

Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser, but no alarm.
Service
Friendly enough, but brakes not greased properly and labour charge too expensive.
