Honda Prelude 2.2 VTi 2d Auto (1998/R) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Great car for the money.
Costs
Unbelievable MPG for a 2.2. I get 36mpg. The tiptronic gears work really well and gear change is smooth

On the road
Driving
Very good ride. Handling resembles that of a 4 wheel drive sports car probably due to the rear wheel steer.
Performance
Go past 5k rpm and wow! My first Vtec and I am impressed. After having a Turbo car I thought I'd miss he performance. But the prelude shocked me. Almost 200bhp. It's under rated to say the least. Time those BMW owners moved out the way!

Living with it
Reliability
It's a Honda! What more can I say. Nothing has gone wrong or ever gone wrong in its past.
Image
Understated looks, but I've had the odd nice car comments. The understated looks works to its advantage.
Comfort
Definately a comfortable ride. Can't complain. The leather seats are nice.

Security and Service
Security
Not bad. Seems like a factory fit/ extra. Alarm and immobiliser on my one. It goes of when it has too and it immobilises the engine. Not that you would need to worry much as the under stated looks of the car doesn't attract any undue attention.
Service
Great. Very helpfull and all the people I've spoken to seemed to know what they were on about.
