Honda Prelude 2.2 VTi Motegi 2d (1999/V) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Picked the car up at a good price due to high initial deprecion. All in all, I feel that I got a lot of car for my money.
Costs
Bit thirsty. I average about 24-25mpg. Can reach 30mpg on a motorway cruise. Servicing cost not too bad for this kind of car I suppose.

Driving
Very good. The car is both sporty and comfortable.
Performance
Brilliant. Engine is awesome when VTEC kicks in at 5500rpm.

Living with it
Reliability
Good. No real problems (minor issues and one recall fixed under warranty). A typically reliable Japanese motor.
Image
I like it... The Motegi is definitley the one to go for in terms of looks. The bodykit and Accord Type-R style wheels look the part.
Comfort
Good, all mod cons etc... shame however that the Motegi Red-stitched leather gear knob/handbrake leaver don't match that with the original interior.

Security and Service
Security
An alarm would have been nice. Comes with an immobiliser, however I don't think it is Thatcham approved.
Service
Only one irratating warranty dispute.
