Hyundai Accent Coupe 1.3 Si 3d (1994/L) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
I bought it new because by brother-in-law (car dealer) said it was a good deal. Whether he meant it or not, after 6 years I'm pleased.
Costs
Dealer parts are expensive (£360 for new clutch at 67k miles). Cheaper parts can be had (£175 - Clutch Master).

On the road
Driving
Reminds me of a go-kart - gets a bit sluggisher (sic) from 40k onwards, overstears a bit when wet.
Performance
See above.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Apart from the whinning radio (when tape is playing), a sunroof that whisles (over 50mph) and windows that won't close (rusting inside), there is no problem with the basics.
Image
My clubby chick girlie friends liked getting to my silver go-kart ;-)
Comfort
6' and loads of room. Four golf bags in the back and can move a 2 bed flat in 3 goes (done several times).

Security and Service
Security
It's never been nicked, but I've locked the keys in a few times and it takes 30 seconds to get into (10 with your eyes open).
Service
Expensive dealers, but I've not needed them much apart from servicing. No point using them after 3 years.
