Hyundai Accent Coupe 1.3 Si 3d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
You get a good looking and reasonably responsive car for not much money.
Costs
My experience is that everything is expensive if compared to say, a Ford.

On the road
Driving
Can't really complain, quite sporty to drive but nothing special and needs power steering. I find the handling a bit dodgy, never really trust it.
Performance
This car can keep up with my mate's Golf GTi at lower speeds, very nippy for a 1.3.

Living with it
Reliability
Well I think I've been unlucky. LOADS of niggly problems - electric windows a big one (not cheap). My new exhaust rattles even after Kwikfit's 3rd attempt. Good starter.
Image
Good styling for its era- round edges and very nice interior
Comfort
Tinny doors, loud at speed and when being pushed. Throws you about a bit on country roads. Passenger seats comfy I'm told.

Security and Service
Security
Well mine had an alarm with central locking when I bought it. Didn't stop anyone breaking the window and taking my stereo though.
Service
My local franchise is a joke- stay away from Grove Garage in Swansea
