Hyundai Accent Coupe (1994 - 1999) 1.3i 3d (1999/T) Owner Review
-
Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I want value for money.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
A friend said that it was like a real car, but it was a Hyundai. None of them can argue with the figures though (£400 per year depreciation over 5 years!)
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, I've owned the car for 5 years and covered around 45000 miles. I've replaced tyres, front brake pads, and the cam belt. Other than that it's just been standard service parts, and it averages just over 40 to the gallon.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly a Hyundai Elantra if I can find a good deal.

I think so, 4 years old, 24000 miles, and £2500.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Cheap and economical
What was the dealer like?

-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nothing special, but generally OK. It's comfortable enough for a couple of hours drive, but a bit noisy at high speed.
What's it like to park?
A doddle the size and all round visibility make it easy (power steering would have helped)
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The stereo is a bit iffy now, and one of the speakers doesn't work, other than that it's been totally reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
It starts first time regardless of the weather.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control (fitted myself)
