Hyundai Amica (2006 - 2009) 1.1 GSI 5d Owner Review

In their own words
The amica has proved to be a decent little car but fuel economy hasn't been as good as expected. The car needs to be driven very carefully to get even 45mpg I had thought it would have been a bit better. Other than that the car is fine it's very reliable is good in town and easy to park and contrary to some reports its fine on motorway runs provided they aren't too long. It can easily cruise at 70 mph and doesn't feel unstable or unable to keep up. I would say its an ideal first car as its in a reasonably low insurance and taxation group also great as a reliable runabout. When I purchased the car it had very low mileage of 22600 despite being 13 years old the bodywork and interior of the car are also in excellent condition and the spare wheel has never been fitted. These little cars have basically the same engine as the 1.1 hyundai getz and as I've owned two of those in the past I know that reliability is excellent and very little goes wrong provided service intervals are maintained and maintenance is carried out regularly. Its also a comfortable car on longer journeys the seats provide good support one drawback of my model is that it does not have air conditioning and that could be a problem in summer.
