Hyundai Coupe 2.0 16V 3d (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Excellent value for money, cheap in price but not in quality, however, you need to add extra underseal / wax oil as not much is applied at the factory! (guess I'm just used to my last car - a VW) Go for the SE model if you want all the extras.
Costs
Haven't taken it to a garage yet as I do most of the work myself. Servicing this car is easy, with easy to get to parts!

Driving
Excellent handling and grip, however I would have liked a bit more feedback from the steering. Other than that, nice gearchange, good brakes, nice ride.
Performance
Excellent, smooth engine - I was quite impressed. Plenty of poke for a 2.0 16v coupled with a light chassis. A point to make - ALL 2 litre models are 16v - not just the SE model as some sellers try to make out!

Living with it
Reliability
Only had a mine a short while, but can't foresee any problems for the future. Make sure you service it at the intervals and it should last.
Image
Good looking car, even for a 97 plate. Next generation looks even better (04 model - not the fussy twin headlight facelift)
Comfort
Comfortable car, but being quite tall (6' 2""), my head is fairly close the roof. Not too bad though and seats are very good with excellent support. Adjustable steering column is good and steering wheel is rally driver close which I like.

Security
Never had a cretin try to take it yet but I've heard that they're quite secure.
