Economy
Value
Superb specification for the money. Cruise/Aircon/Leather/all-Electric.
Costs
Hyundai parts expensive for this model. BMW prices. Fuel consumption heavy.
-
On the road
Driving
Porsche-developed suspension, great handling. Can tramline a bit. Firm.
Performance
137BHP not great for a 2.0 nowadays. Though car quite light, so acceleration good. Smooth motorway performance.

Living with it
Reliability
7 years old now, LED clock flickers, Cruise broken, wheel bearings all replaced, rear brake callipers always seize (common faults).
Image
In black, looks like the batmobile! A girl once asked me if it was a Porsche!
Comfort
Firm ride, great multi-adjustable leather seats. Rear seats OK for people under about 5' 7".

Security and Service
Security
Standard alarm/immobiliser not Thatcham approved on this F2 model. (But is on F2 Evolution).
Service
Tried to replace corroded F2 wheel-trims, dealer said those parts were deleted from inventory in 05.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
None. Rough at high revs, though like that when new!
Other
F2 gear-knob badly worn, not durable. Dealer doesn't stock them any longer. Most have been replaced with aftermarket items by now (2006).
