Hyundai Coupe (2002 - 2009) 2.0 SIII 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Bought this in white and it's a beautiful car, and the only colour which really accentuates it's design. I've had it for 6 years and it's never let me down. The brakes and discs are susceptible to wear especially the discs which seem to score easily and I never drive on my brakes rather I accelerate and brake in good time so these are one of the weak points of the car. I've had the brakes overhauled twice during ownership. This car can either be driven hard and still return a good mpg or economically and return around 470 miles (mainly motorway) from a full tank coming in at 39mpg. There's only one major issue with this car.... It attracts idiot drivers who want to race you and it's not got enough guts in the engine to compete. It really is a shame that Hyundai didn't fit this car or offer it with a turbo charger (UK models) as it really could do with some extra power when needed. That said it does accelerate quick and holds the road especially cornering very well. It also achieves a decent top speed. This car really is a two seater although it has seats in the back if you're over 5ft 4 then you'll struggle to fit in the back. Front seats are also a struggle for anyone over 6ft tall. Boot space is surprisingly big when the back seats are lowered. Overall I love this car and it turns a lot of heads especially after it's had a wash and wax. If you're looking for a sports car on a budget and don't mind the idiots on the road who see the car and want to race you then you won't go wrong with the SIII or TSIII which has a larger rear spoiler, quilted leather seats with embroidered TSIII logo and coloured alloys in addition to the standard kit.
How reliable do you find the car?
Brakes and discs seem to be a weakness with these coupés.About their car
