Summary
What does this car say about you?
Simple - that in order to be genuinely fashionable, one does NOT have to wear Armani.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it. A couple of my friends really like the look, although I suppose I don't listen out much for other people's opinions. On anything!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Perhaps. It still is breathtakingly beautiful, and miles away in terms of its looks from some rather lacklustre cars on the market. I suppose if I upgraded, it would have to be for something truly compelling like a Maserati. Otherwise, thanks, but no thanks.
What are you likely to buy next?
To be honest, I'd really like to watch the coupé age - I think it's the kind of car that will age really well. Often on holidays, I drive a BMW or an Audi and like the engines better (they are obviously more refined). But these cars are dreadfully bland, and although the interiors may be higher quality - they are utterly ill-inspiring, so I am happy with the SIII. Although I suppose if the money came along for a Maserati, I probably wouldn't say no :).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,900
When did you buy the car?
March 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so. Although about £350 above the average on the market, this car was in excellent condition, came with an extra 6 month dealer warranty, and had a low mileage.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I love the look of the car, it was an upgrade on all counts from my previous car, and I was impressed by the options the car comes with as standard (full leather trim, heated seats, sun roof, cruise control).
What was the dealer like?
Interested in selling the car. And in not much else. Unsurprisingly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It certainly isn't the most refined engine, but really, for that one probably ought to be looking at the leading German brands, and spending a considerable deal more. That said, it's a perky enough engine, and since I am no boy racer, I feel perfectly comfortable with it. The car sits low so really does have the feel of a sports coupé. The rise can be a little harsh when the tyres are pumped, but I have been in a Ferrari or two that ride harder. The cruise control is just the thing for long toll road stints in France, and overall, I absolutely love driving every moment of it.
What's it like to park?
Easy peasy. Okay, not as easy as parking a VW Polo or a Toyota Auris because the rear pillars can get in the way, but then again, who wants to be in those drab looking things anyway?!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No. In the most recent service, however, they found that the port for the iginition key didn't always touch the key (thereby causing the engine to not sometimes start properly). This was replaced as the car is still under the manufacturer's generous 5 year warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot, and its relatively low running costs.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The sun roof, on all counts. England gets next to zero sun, so any opportunity to have it open when the sun is shining is MUCH appreciated!
