What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 27 - 37 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The five-year warranty isn’t restricted by a mileage limitation and means that if anything unexpected should go wrong, you won’t be hit with a hefty bill. Hyundai servicing is reasonable too as is insurance – the 1.6-litre is group 8, the 2.0-litre group 10 and the V6 model group 14.
The Coupe is a polluting model and even the cleanest engine – the 1.6-litre – emits a hefty 182g/km of CO2. Similar size and power engines from manufacturers such as Ford emit less than 140g/km.
Reliability is generally very good, apart from the odd minor electrical glitch. The five-year warranty is one of the longest in the industry, so there is a great deal of peace-of-mind built into the purchase.
