Summary
What does this car say about you?
Someone who wants an economical, reliable small hatchback for short distance commutes but capable of the occasional longer Motorway run.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it a lot - a work colleague bought one after seeing mine!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes - but intend to run this for the length of the five year warranty at least. Great value and falls into low 119g CO2 taxation bracket. I read good reviews before buying. Bought one of the first in the UK, back in April, and it has not disappointed at all
What are you likely to buy next?
Who knows what will be available when I come to change?

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£6,565
When did you buy the car?
April 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Brand new model so litle chance of negotiating cost of new car. Knew what I wanted as minimum trade-in P/X value for my Corsa. Think I got a fair deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Was looking for a replacement for my Corsa and wanted a new model with good reviews and low emissions and running costs.
What was the dealer like?
Friendly enough. He didn't have to do any 'hard sell' stuff as I'd researched the car I wanted in advance, went to see the pre-release showroom model and ordered one immediately!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Great for local driving and short commutes. Doesn't struggle to keep up on the Motorway either on longer journeys. Small engine does require a bit of gear changes on hilly routes and it certainly notices the addition of passengers!
What's it like to park?
A doddle to park! Good visibility all round and the wing mirrors give a huge rear view. All assisted by the best low-speed power assisted steering I've known.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all. Only thing I don't like is that manual warns not to plug anything into the cigarette lighter - I believe a 12v auxiliary socket is to become standard.
What's most practical about your car?
Economy, easy parking - much prefer the low-speed power steering to any previous car. Ugly looking wing mirrors are pretty big for a car of this size but give great rear view vision.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Stereo and air-con are pretty good for a car in this price bracket.
