Summary
What does this car say about you?
Cheapskate, but a discerning cheapskate.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I don't know; give it a bit more time and we'll see...!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes; an unbeatable combination of economy and (okay, slightly limited) style!
What are you likely to buy next?
I'll keep this for 5 years and then see what's around.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£5,850
When did you buy the car?
September 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Nothing extra offered beyond the scrappage deal; but with £2k off the list price (nearly 30%), I wasn't expecting anything!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I was going to replace my '98 R-reg Nissan Micra, and did the figures to work out whether, over 5 years, I would be better replacing it with a £1000 banger, or going for this new one. Overall, I reckoned that, at worst, it might cost me £350 per year more to have a new car. A no-brainer, as our American cousins say.
What was the dealer like?
Tates of Shoreham were excellent ; considering that they were not making much on the deal, they answered all e-mails, phone calls, and generally spent a good amount of time explaining everything.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fun; nippy, not too much roll, seems to absorb potholes on the country lanes near us without problems.
What's it like to park?
A piece of p***. Good visibility, and electric power steering; couldn't be easier really.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I've only had it for a day; so fingers crossed...!
What's most practical about your car?
It is small, but it fits our family (2 adults, 2 children, 5 & 8) without too much of a squash.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air con & direct iPod/Aux connection to the stereo.
