Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says 'I'm driving my wife's car' - lacks street cred for me but very practical.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
First impressions are good - the paint finish is excellent and the 'Style' trim looks good inside so most are impressed. Some might find the seats a bit firm.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably - though I'm having difficulty arranging a service package at a reasonable price (£540 for 3 years seems very expensive for such a simple car).
What are you likely to buy next?
My wife is unlikely to change again for 10 years so - who knows??

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£8,600
When did you buy the car?
September 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Very limited choice for early delivery of the 'Style' trim. This one was on a ship when we ordered it and we got a good deal at about £1000 off the list price (via Hyundai finance deposit allowance) with an additional £800 or so of extras thrown in.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Actually it's my Wife's car - replacement for her 11 year old Fiesta. The new Fiesta is too big for her and she found the I10 really easy to drive and park and a lot cheaper than most rivals.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent - very friendly and efficient and kept us informed right through the paperwork process.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
My wife loves it for driving around town and its reasonably quiet at motorway speeds on a good surface. Performance of the 1.2 petrol is no better than the 1.2 Fiesta of 10+ years ago but is adequate. I find it annoying that the revs rise when I change gear (common I believe), but otherwise not bad for a very small car. We're averaging about 42MPG with town & motorway driving but thats only over about 300 Miles.
What's it like to park?
Easy to park - good visibility and tight turning circle plus it's a very narrow car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
My Wife is delighted with the I10 and I have to say it is well finished inside and out - no faults so far.
What's most practical about your car?
Surprisingly roomy for four adults in the cabin (though very little boot space) and its a breeze to manoeuvre with a good turning circle and excellent visibility.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated seats and an electric sunroof.
