Hyundai i10 (2014 - 2020) 1.0 Go Edition 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The edition that I have is the GO! Special Edition which was released for the Euro 2016 Football Competition. The result is a variant that sits between the Premium and SE model as it includes Day Time Running LEDS, Air Con, electric windows all round, tinted glass, leather steering wheel with audio/phone controls, cruise control, Bluetooth, mp3, etc which made it excellent value for money at just over £9k. Would have liked a DAB radio as well but not that bothered at this price. The exterior looks do give it more of a premium feel to cars in it class and the interior is obviously had a lot of thought gone into it and it certainly feels and looks a lot better than you would expect for a city car. It's nice to have proper dials, etc rather than just digital displays or additional dials added at what appears to be after thoughts. Performance is what you would expect from a three cylinder car.... a bit slow on acceleration but once it's up to speed it holds its own around town and on the motorway. If only it had a small turbo it would really make a difference as it certainly feels the hills especially when carrying passengers. Handling is pretty good, and the brakes are certainly very sharp (disc brakes all round on a car this size!) which took a while to get used too. Cabin is very quiet on the road with the most obtrusive sound coming from the tyres so makes it very comfortable on longer runs. For me, the warranty and quality of the car is what I needed to get me to work safely and something my eldest daughter will hopefully learn to drive in (cheap insurance group). Hyundai is a mark I never really considered but so far I'm impressed and it looks like its going to be a cheap car to run. Highly recommend, but certainly try both the 1.0 and 1.2 engines first to see what suits you better but I quite like the 'thrum' the three cylinder 1.0 gives which is giving me about 52mpg.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Lacks power especially on hills when carrying other passengers but not too worried as it holds its own when going and on motorwaysAbout their car
