Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm not wasting money on cars!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Would you buy this car again and why?
No way - Hyundai need to sort out the paint/rust & customer care problems b4 I'd buy another. Common problem for i20s so very disappointing that Hyundai has not sorted b4 now. Macklin Motors Hyundai Edinburgh East agreed to sort the problem under warranty - remove and respray rear hatch. 4 weeks on and I'v heard nothing! 5 yr warranty sounds good but my experience - the real test is when something goes wrong - Hyundai have failed badly.Would have given 4 stars apart from the rust problem.
What are you likely to buy next?
Certainly not a Hyundai or Kia.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good to drive and diesel engine gives it a surprising acceleration for a 3 cylinder 1120 cc engine.
What's it like to park?
Good to park although visibility is not great with front headrests obstructing view.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Front brakes binding leading to poor fuel economy and overheating brakes. Dealer had to be convinced by me parking the car on a slope without using the handbrake! Rear hatch door paintwork started to rust in the gap just beneath the rear window. It's rusting behind the glass and is now appearing on the external surface of the hatch.
What's most practical about your car?
Decent space.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It's a basic car but benefits from a 6th gear which is good for motorway use and means it cruises very quietly.
