Hyundai i30 Hatchback (2012 - 2017) 1.6 SE Panorama 5d Owner Review

Overall am very pleased with the car, it being a SE Panoramic means it does have a number of extra features that made it very good value for money. The 1.6 petrol engine gives it good performance. The car is comfortable and a reasonable size. Bought new 6 years ago and it has been trouble free, except for one problem, the car started to judder upon take off after two or three years, this was reported to the main agent, who made some checks but identified nothing specific, though in fairness it was a spasmodic problem that wasn't always evident. At four+ years (36,000 miles) the problem worsened and the clutch started to slip. Main agent removed the gearbox identified a leaking gearbox seal, replaced the seal, the clutch and the flywheel. All this was done in less than three days and all done within the 5 year warranty, no quibbles. Very impressed with the service
