Hyundai Kona Electric SUV (2018 - 2023) Premium SE Electric 64 kWh Battery 204PS auto 5d Owner Review

No regret to buy this premium version with 64kWh. Its range is enough for my normal use. In these few months driving over 2000 mile, it can reach over 200 miles even in winter. I still have no chance to test its range in summer but that must be close to 300. Before I bought this Kona, my target was Ionic electric. I changed my mind because longer range and biger boot space. Finally I got longer range but the boot space is still a bit small in this Kona. Since my Kona come with the top specs, I really appreciated with its safety and convenient. Compared with basic version, it costs you only 2k in the second hand market. I would definitely recommend the preimum se version.

Pre-conditioning the cabin by using the app is one of my favourite in winter. No more scraping the snow or blowing the windscreen for 10 minutes before starting your journey. Heating the seats and steering wheel are also important in winter too.

Someone may not like Kona is too "Safe", it slow down automatically when you are too close to the car in the front. It actively steer your wheel to keep you in lane. It warns you when there is car in your blind spot. However, all the above is its advantage to me instead.

The thing I don't like most about Kona is the quality of reverse camera. At night, when you need a clear picture of what behind your car, what you can see is a noisy picture. I will have my next service soon and I'll ask Hyunday the problem of the camera. The time for charging in public station is also too slow comparing with the rivals.
