Hyundai Santa Fe (2006 - 2012) 2.2 CRTD GSI 5d Auto (155ps) (7 Seats) Owner Review

August 2016 Engine just stopped without warning mid-holiday on Autoroute in France. no warning lights, no smoke, no nothing. Engine top end Siezed as no oil to head due to Carbon build up in Oil lines. New Cylinder head and Valves/Rockers needed amongst other spare parts (which are very few and far between). After 8 weeks of hassle and grief decided to sell as spare or repairs. Lost £5500 in value of car. The person I sold it to spent 80 Hours stripping and rebuilding before it ran again. This car was immaculate, with 59800 miles and a full Hyundai Service History. This car had an easy life Not sure what the moral of the story here is but thought I would share regardless. The bad 21-23 MPG is rubbish anyway you look at it. I was living with that as the only downside until.....
