Hyundai Sonata 3.0 V6 4d Auto (96) (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
You'll never find more car for your money.
Costs
At 93,000 miles there has been only a cam belt change. Service it every 10,000 miles and you will have reliable, cost-effective motoring.

On the road
Driving
The smoothest ride I have ever experienced. The automatic with overdrive and cruise control is the best on the motorway.
Performance
Sluggish when the overdrive is engaged, but flick the overdrive off and the electronic transaxle in and - oh baby! Even my friend in his turbo-charged Toyota couldn't catch us.

Living with it
Reliability
One of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. At 93,000 miles there is hardly a sound from the big six motor and the suspension handles as new.
Image
This car attracts interest wherever it goes, but is relatively unknown in the British car market. So much the better for those of us with an eye for quality and exciting motoring.
Comfort
Excellent for average-sized people, but not built for the tall ones. Loads of leg room and super-large boot

Security and Service
Security
No attempts have been made to steal it, but it is immobilised and has an alarm which never false-triggers

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
None
Other
Some noise from the water pump when cold, but this is expected on an engine that has covered 93,000 miles
