Hyundai Trajet (2000 - 2006) 2.0 CRTD SE 5d Owner Review

This is an update review as Parkers don't let you update your original one (PaulBB). The reason I'm doing this is to warn people to carefully check the rear suspension arms for corrosion. A recall notice was issued for them as they corrode badly. The correction was to either replace or rustproof but unfortunately it seems my car wasn't done so it failed MOT on excessive corrosion to both arms. The cost of each arm £495 so quotes were around £1250 and I nearly scrapped it but I found a company in Poland called Fox Rzeszow who supplied both original manf arms delivered for £450 and in the end it cost me £650 fitted. So was it worth spending that much money on a Trajet? well in my opinion yes because it's a lot nicer car than it's given credit for. I have 2 sports cars also which I love to drive but often find I take the Trajet because it does such a good job not exciting but good relaxing drive. So yes I would still recommend it just make sure you get the rear suspension checked carefully first.
