2.0 petrol is refined about town, noisy on the motorway and it feels underpowered when fully laden. The 2.7 V6 is smoother and faster but far too heavy on fuel. 2.0 TD is an old-school diesel and only adequate. It takes a while to get going and is noisy at speed.
Ride isn’t suited to potholed UK roads and becomes too bouncy at speed – even on straight, flat roads. Steering lacks feedback and isn’t precise enough. The gearchange is notchy and there is too much bodyroll, even if you corner gently.
