Hyundai Tucson SUV 1.6 TGDi Hybrid 230 Premium 5dr 2WD Auto Owner Review

In their own words
Had my 230 Hybrid for 2 months now and previously had a Volvo T5 XC60. This car is 100% more economical as the T5 averaged a poor 25 mpg and the Tucson has averaged 50 mpg, we live in the London Suburbs so the Hybrid is fantastic in stop/start traffic, on a 50 mile run it does nearer 60 mpg. Surprising how much the EV mode kicks in even at 40 to 50 mph, its very quick off the mark as well with the torque of the elec motor. We drive to the Alps every summer and this car has an easy 500/550 + mile range despite a 52 litre tank. Premium version gives me all I need and is a good spec. The car has some really clever design features like reclining rear seats, the boot cover can be slotted in a special place under the boot floor, neat totally concealed rear wiper, super storage under the boot floor, programmable buttons on the steering well and centre console, adaptive cruise control that even works in traffic queues and will stop the car and just move off itself. The ride is a bit more sporty than the Volvo but it feels sharper, its eerily silent in EV mode, do wish the Andoid Auto was wireless but hey ho. You can also do Car software updates yourself with a USB stick via the Hyundai PC software as my new car had an older version. Overall its close to Volvo, Audi, BMW build but not quite there, but considering I paid just over £31k via a broker and the equivalent from those marques is easily £50k plus it fantastic value and a no brainer. Also it looks really good with all the body creases, front grille and rear light bar. Good job Hyundai and hope it proves as reliable as our 2014 Hyundai i10.
