In their own words

I've had this about 3 weeks and today was the first longer journey. It's a lease car from work and was one of the few ICE cars as most options were electric only. Deliver took 10 months!

It is very comfortable, quiet and spacious inside for 4 and not too bad for 5. Lots of technology on offer so that I'm not sure I will ever get to grips with it all. Turning circle is good and visibility is excellent. Doors open nice and wide so it's easy to get in.

It is a little too keen to steer itself with lane keeping than I would ideally like. Various warning noises can be toned down (good) except for 6 loud and irritating bongs when you get in. Centre console controls are touch-sensitive not real buttons so become fiddly to use on the move.

Overall, it is a very nice car BUT I've been used to Toyota hybrids (not plug-in) and the long term average for my CHR was 56mpg. The Tucson battery gives @25miles so on the outbound journey today that was used up and on the return we just had the petrol engine. Quiet night time motorway almost all on the cruise @73mph, 4 adults plus dog and quite a bit of luggage. MPG on return was just 34.3.

In conclusion, I'd happily buy a Tucson if I didn't have the car from work. However, the ICE versions probably make more sense than the PHEV.
