Infiniti Q30 Hatchback (2015 - 2020) 2.2d Premium (IN-Touch Nav) 5d DCT Owner Review

In their own words
Underrated, under priceded, unfairly reviewed in my opinon after a year in the Q30 premium In-Touch 2.1D AWD
A great shame this excellent Brirish built car is no longer available. New it struggled to compete but second hand its hard to beat on value. Its certainly the best AWD crossover buy in the family car sector bar nothing! Plenty of good qulaity equipment, comfortable, practical, great looks and despite what you might have read a really decent ride.
Its a Mercedes GLA under the skin with most of the chassis and interior exactly the same. An equivelant mileage/age/spec Audi Q3, BMW X1 or Merc GLA would be at least 30% more, or for the same money any of those three but 2-3 years older and 2-3 times the mileage! Japanese/Korean equivalents have far less kit, lack the same quality feel and aslo cost more. For the money nothing touches the Q3.
Performance is fine, AWD works really well and copes with snow and ice as well as anything else on the road. Raised height is just enough to get the feel-good factor and accomodation is fine for 99% of normal family use. 12mth MPG is 43.6 mostly suburban
On the downside the engine is noisy in neutral but unnoticable on the move. !'m 5'10" and no problem with the headroom but 3 in the back isn't great! the tailgate weighs a ton and the lip is a bit high - other than that...
The camera systlem is great and has prevented the parking knocks/bumper scrapes I'd expect to pick up. The sound system is fine and the driver aids (lane departure, cruise control, auto parking) all work well.
For the motorway run its still not a bad place to be. Its no long range cruiser but for 2-3 hours its absolutely fine.
Buy one while they are still around!!
