Infiniti Q50 (2014 - 2020) 3.5h S Sport Tech (AWD) 4d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The car has been great. It's fast when I want it to be, it's been very reliable and it has almost all the mod cons you would expect.
It's quiet and smooth on the motorway and is capable of decent MPG (although nowhere near the quoted figures from Infiniti). This is a sports model though, the batteries are primarily there to make it accelerate quickly. If you are going to throw it around the roads the MPG will be similar to a 350Z (which has the same engine as this). If you are more relaxed and less heavy on the pedal it will give you acceptable MPG, but it's not designed to be a high MPG car, no matter what Infiniti claims.
The aftermarket service with Infiniti shutting down and leaving the UK has not been so great. My main concern is that it gets older it's going to be hard to service and maintain as there are very few garages that want to deal with hybrid Infiniti's. The local Nissan garages don't want to know so I currently have to take it to a garage an hour and a half drive away.
Infiniti really needs to get the whole Nissan dealer network set up to support these cars now that they have cut and run, currently only a few are willing to service them.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Little niggles, like the electric wing mirrors don't auto close when you lock the car, you need to manually open and close them. No automatic boot opening, so you have to put down what you are holding to open it. These are minor, generally it's great, electric everything. Automatic heated seats and steering wheel are wonderful. The different drive modes and the ability to tweak the handling profile on the fly is amazing.About their car
